DEPOK, June 30, 2025 — A commendable strategic step has just been realized! SEBI Institute and the Indonesian Workers Union Association (ASPEK Indonesia) have officially solidified their partnership through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the synergy between the education sector and labor organizations in producing superior and professional human resources ready to face future challenges.
Moving Forward for Workers' Welfare
This strategic partnership encompasses several key points that provide direct benefits to workers and their families:
-
Bachelor's Scholarship Program (S1): An opportunity for the children of laborers and ASPEK Indonesia members who excel but require financial support to pursue regular higher education at SEBI Institute.
-
Flexible Employee Classes: Bachelor’s (S1) and Master’s (S2) programs specifically designed to be adaptive and flexible, catering to the needs of active workers.

This collaboration strategically supports the broader agenda of national human resource development towards Indonesia Gold 2045. It is not just about providing educational access but also about creating opportunities for programs that genuinely understand the dynamics and conditions of active workers.
Tri Asmoko Aripan, Secretary-General of ASPEK Indonesia, firmly stated that this collaboration is a concrete step towards enhancing the capacity of Indonesian workers amidst industrial dynamics. "Education is the main foundation for improving welfare and bargaining power of workers. This collaboration will open new avenues for workers and their families to achieve social and economic mobility," he said. He added, "Furthermore, this collaboration will provide access for underprivileged yet outstanding children of laborers to continue their higher education."
This strategic partnership will last for four years, starting from the 2025/2026 Academic Year until 2028/2029. Regular evaluations will be conducted at least once a year to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the program, guaranteeing that each step brings maximum positive impact.
Through this collaboration, SEBI Institute and ASPEK Indonesia reaffirm their commitment to advocating for social justice, enhancing the welfare of workers' families, and developing workers' human resources through education. This is a tangible manifestation of the unity between labor associations and higher education institutions in realizing a better future for Indonesia's economic development on strategic issues.
